The Client’s Vision
Our clients wanted to completely transform their existing main bathroom into a warm, modern and timeless space, with improved functionality, additional storage and a more open, free-flowing layout.
The existing bathroom had lifting tiles and concerns around the condition of the flooring and waterproofing. The original layout also made the space feel enclosed, so opening up the bathroom while ensuring everything behind the finishes was rebuilt correctly was an important part of the project.
What We Did
Lion Property Solutions managed the complete bathroom renovation from demolition through to final fit-off.
During demolition, we removed an existing non-load-bearing wall, allowing us to open up the bathroom and create a more spacious and free-flowing layout.
Once the existing flooring was removed, the subfloor and floor structure were fully exposed. We reinforced the existing floor joists where required and installed a new subfloor to provide a solid and correctly prepared foundation for the new bathroom.
Compressed cement sheeting was then installed, and the shower area was carefully prepared to create the correct falls towards the waste before waterproofing and tiling.
From there, we completed all plumbing and electrical works, wall and floor preparation, waterproofing, underfloor heating, floor-to-ceiling tiling, cabinetry installation, shower screen installation and final fit-off.
Finishes & Features
The bathroom features a Boston Oak wall-hung vanity, finished with a 20mm benchtop and undermount basin.
To maximise storage without compromising the open feel of the bathroom, we also installed a matching full-height Boston Oak linen cabinet together with a shaving mirror cabinet above the vanity.
The bathroom was finished with ENTIVA Travertine Vein Cut Sand Matt tiles, installed floor-to-ceiling to create a warm and seamless look throughout the space.
These natural tones were complemented with brushed nickel tapware and accessories, a new toilet suite, underfloor heating and a semi-frameless shower screen to complete the bathroom.
The Result
The completed main bathroom is a significant transformation from the original space.
Removing the non-load-bearing wall allowed us to create a more open and practical layout, while the combination of travertine tones, Boston Oak cabinetry and brushed nickel finishes delivered the warm and timeless look the clients were after.
Just as importantly, considerable work went into what sits underneath the finished bathroom. From reinforcing the floor joists and rebuilding the subfloor through to establishing the correct shower falls, waterproofing and preparation, each stage was completed with long-term performance in mind.
With the main bathroom now complete, we’re moving onto the ensuite, continuing the transformation through the next stage of this Rosanna home.
